Finding Your Hidden Strength

Under a waxing (increasing) cardinal earth Capricorn Moon, with a sextile to the knowing Sun Scorpio today. More intensity today! Many are agitated and overwhelmed. You're blessed if you can channel that intensity into your life's work, and feel satisfied and productive "in your bones."

But if you're barely coping, this is a day to transform. A breaking point calls for cutting out all but the essentials. Times like this force out hidden strengths, so you discover you're stronger than you realize. It's said that God(dess) doesn't give us more than we can handle. You find that you can persevere, and in that effort, grow stronger in character.

An early meaning of peace was to be calm of mind, in the face of stressful events. And Wikipedia's definition for inner peace is "a state of being mentally and spiritually at peace, with enough knowledge and understanding to keep oneself strong in the face of discord or stress." It's a day to grow strong in your wounded places, and through that build up spiritual power. This is the kind of core strength that gives you (moments of) inner peace in a chaotic, anxious time.
