Soul always seeks to create harmony and balance in the personality and in relationships. Sometimes those energies manifest as what we perceive as negative, such as illness or conflict.

An illness or disease in the body is not an attack on the body, but nature’s way of addressing some lack within the body, some need that is not being met. The so-called illness is an attempt to heal or prevent the body from dying.

The same principle is true in relationships. So when conflict is present do not think that the relationship is dying or ending. When you have a negative attitude about a relationship, or if you are experiencing conflict within the relationship, this is soul’s way of pointing out what needs are not being met and what you need to do about it. Conflict needs to be understood if you are to address its purpose. Blaming someone for the conflict - the other person, a situation, or yourself - is a way of blocking what needs to be understood and done about it.

The solution to a conflict is not its eradication but the awareness of the lack of love, understanding and support, that it reveals, and the appropriate response to restoring the love, understanding and support that is needed.
