What are you feeling?

"We know too much and feel too little. At least, we feel too little of those creative emotions from which a good life springs."

-- Bertrand Russell

Many of the qualities that bring fulfilment in life are feelings, like love, joy, freedom and gratitude.

In our overly rational world, we tend to think about how we feel, which, of course, is not feeling at all -- it’s thinking.

Honour your feelings and be willing to experience them. They give us valuable feedback about what is and what is not working in our lives. They are the signposts to meaningful inner work. cheers

"With just a little education and practice on how to manage your emotions, you can move into a new experience of life so rewarding that you will be motivated to keep on managing your emotional nature in order to sustain it. The payoff is delicious in terms of improved quality of life."

-- Doc Childre

Agreed. There is balance and then there is ai yi yi yi Rolling Eyes Emotions exist for a reason. In this age of technology they are easily devalued and lost from the analysis. I am one of those ppl who gives the final say to her gut instinct which is completely different from analysis and emotions yet finely tied to both. What is the point of a life spent sacrificing to thinking if you cannot have emotions to bring you joy and enhance your experience or sadness to add texture to your findings? It is like finding all the dots but not connecting them to see the picture they make. Intuition is likened to shading the picture to make it more relevant to you personally.
