How Quantum Activism Can Save Civilization


Dr. Amit Goswami ‘s life work has been to successfully integrate science and spirituality, applying the principles of quantum physics in proving that consciousness, not matter, is the ground of all being. Now, in his new book How Quantum Activism Can Save Civilization, he applies this knowledge to the restoration of spirituality in both our personal lives and society.

Dr. Goswami began the conversation of activist thinking and activist living in the award winning documentary film, The Quantum Activist. In How Quantum Activism Can Save Civilization, Dr. Goswami continues his call-to-arms to all who believe that change is needed and necessary if we are to start leading meaningful lives. He clearly lays out a manifesto for personal and social change based on the principals of Quantum Activism:

“To make social changes is the job of the activist. We need activism that uses the power of quantum physics. Quantum physics gives us ideas that are transformative, that can lead us and our social institutions from separate¬ness back to unity.”

Beginning with the question: “God is here, so what are you going to do about it?” Goswami calls for a plan of action that involves applying “quantum thinking” to a variety of societal issues. He issues a call for a spiritual economics that is concerned with our well-being rather than only our material needs; politics that uses power to serve, instead of dominating others; education that liberates rather than shackles; and new healthy practices that restore wholeness. And most importantly, Dr. Goswami calls on President Obama, urging him to help revolutionize the world with this new way of thinking and living.

With chapters that include Toward a Spiritual Economics; From Power to Meaning: Can Quantum Thinking Rescue Democracy?; and How to Resolve Quantum Paradoxes and Discover a Scientific God, Goswami directly challenges the current scientific paradigm that excludes spirituality and replaces it with a world where science exists within consciousness.
Dr. Goswami is a retired professor of physics from the University of Oregon. His textbook Quantum Mechanics is being used in Universities throughout the world while his work in reconciling spirituality and science is gaining greater international recognition. And, again, Dr. Goswami sends the challenge out to all:

“So let’s walk our talk, and make brain circuits of positive emotions. We just do it. We practice. Let some of us be good, do good. Be with God some of the time, be in the ego some of the time, and let the dance generate creative acts of transformation. With this resolution, with this objective in mind, I invite you to become a Quantum Activist.”
