Prophecies & Antichrist:

In the first half of Wednesday's show, prophecy and Nostradamus expert John Hogue shared some predictions for the rest of 2011, and talked about how some of Nostradamus' quatrains may reflect on current events. Nostradamus had written that a "black and future king" would be involved in a war with the Third Antichrist, and Hogue suggested this "king" could refer to Obama, and the Antichrist (or Mabus, as he is named) was Osama bin Laden. Additionally, he spoke about a war (perhaps a number of years away) occurring between the US and Russia, which Nostradamus referred to as the "two great kingdoms of the North."

Hogue believes that we've reached a tipping point this year, and "Mother Nature" is declaring war on the abusive human behavior toward the Earth. He predicts a strong hurricane season, with the eastern seaboard getting hit worse than in previous years. He also sees the western US coastline being susceptible to large earthquakes this year, and particularly so when comet Elenin lines up with the sun and Earth, in September and November.

In the latter half, television producer and theologian, Patrick Heron discussed his work researching references to the Antichrist in the Bible, including connections to the Nephilim, and world prophecy. According to scripture, the Antichrist is "the beast who ascends out of the bottomless pit, having seven heads, and ten horns." Other supernatural beings were also cast into this parallel dimension or "Abyss," and will be released along with the Antichrist, he stated.

The Antichrist, Heron continued, will team up with the "False Prophet" and deceive the whole world "with their counterfeit & magical science, miracles and wonders," enabled by the fact that they're spirit beings. He believes we are living in End Times, or the Apocalypse- a word that refers to the pulling away of the veil. He cited the appearance of UFOs as messengers of deception-- part of a conditioning process, prepping the world for the reappearance of the fallen angels.

Longevity Study:

On Thursday's show, Professor of Psychology Howard Friedman discussed an eight decade study that documents who really thrives under certain conditions and who dies early. The study which busts a number of myths about the secrets to living a longer life, was started by Dr. Lewis Terman in 1921. He used a group of 1,500 gifted boys and girls born around 1910, and these subjects were subsequently tracked throughout their lives. Looking at personality factors, one surprising result, was that those with a "cheery disposition" actually died at a younger age, on average.

Those who lived longest were found to be the most conscientious-- they were prudent, planned their lives to some extent and were more focused on finding good jobs and relationships, Friedman reported. Stress and worrying were actually found to not be a bad thing in terms of longevity, and people who worked the hardest tended to live the longest, he noted, adding that retirement usually is detrimental to health.

The subjects who were naturally active (but not rigorous exercisers) tended to stay healthy as opposed to those more sedentary, and those who had more people around them and made a difference in people's lives fared better than the loners, he detailed. People who engaged in "catastrophic thinking," i.e. finding doom everywhere, tended to die at a younger age, especially for men, Friedman shared.

Ancient Nuclear War:

First hour guest, unorthodox researcher Michael Cremo talked about ancient Sanskrit writings from India that contain descriptions resembling nuclear warfare. In the texts, a weapon was said to shine as brilliant as a thousand suns, and battlefields were littered with tens of thousands of warriors. Based on astronomical information given in one text, he surmised that one of these battles took place around 5,000 years ago.

Today in Strangeness:

Roswell Lore & Open Lines:

In the first half of the program, author John LeMay and researcher Noe Torres talked about some of the strange incidents and UFO lore associated with Roswell, New Mexico. There is no absolute proof about what happened there in 1947, but numerous eyewitness accounts and circumstantial evidence support the story of a crash of an unknown object, Torres said. The site where the craft finally came down remains a mystery. Torres suggested it was probably in the northern part of Chaves County. The Foster ranch debris field is likely only a bounce site, where pieces of the object broke off as it continued another 40 to 50 miles before finally impacting, he added.

Reports abound of strange occupants that were found at the crash site. LeMay shared the account of an alien survivor who was taken back to the Roswell military base, escaped, and was later shot by two guards when he returned. LeMay expressed his doubts about the story, pointing out that any occupant would have died from injuries sustained in the crash. Another bit of lore tells of an EBE (extraterrestrial biological entity) who survived the crash and eventually moved to Los Alamos National Labs, where he enjoyed eating strawberry ice cream and listening to Tibetan music, LeMay humorously recounted.

While some of the Roswell alien stories strain credulity, Torres believes something incredible must have occurred there since service men at the base reportedly became emotionally and spiritually disturbed by what they saw. The beings from the crash have been variously described as three to four feet tall, pale-skinned, with a large head and eyes, and overall insect-like appearance, Torres explained. LeMay said the alien bodies were supposedly taken to the base hospital before being moved to a hanger. In the 1950s, a new medical facility was built on the site of the old hospital. A nurse who worked there claimed to have seen the ghost of a 'little man' roughly matching the description of a Roswell alien, LeMay noted.

Open Lines followed. The final half hour featured part of George's 1/21/11 interview with researcher Giorgio Tsoukalos, who discussed ancient aliens.

Today in Strangeness:

On this date in 1840, the Great Natchez Tornado struck Natchez, Mississippi taking the lives of 317 people. It was the second deadliest tornado in American history. And on May 7, 1983, August Hoffman performed a record 29,051 consecutive sit-ups.

Video Fix:

Can a painting be haunted? MrModnation thinks so, and has posted a YouTube video of such a painting -- The Anguished Man. About it he writes: "My Grandmother had this painting in her attic for twenty five years. She said it was evil. She told us she used to see the dark figure of a man around the house and at night she heard strange noises and crying. She told me the artist committed suicide shortly after finishing it and that he had used his own blood mixed in with the oils. After she died we got the painting, it is currently in our basement. Shortly after we got the painting various members of the family started seeing the dark figure of a man. At night we began hearing noises and just recently we have heard crying and moaning. The painting is still in our house and although I never believed in the supernatural I am now convinced there is something evil about this painting..."

Tonight's Show, Saturday, May 7th:

Stanford University professor, Mark Z. Jacobson joins Ian Punnett to discuss how we can power 100% of the planet with renewable sources of energy like wind, water, and sunlight and what this could mean for the global oil industry ( related essay).

From 6-10 pm (PT) on Saturday night, Coast Insiders can hear an Art Bell: Somewhere in Time program from 12/5/01, when Dan Aykroyd and David Sereda discussed a NASA video showing hundreds of UFOs closely resembling the Dropa Stones - ancient discs found in Tibet by a team of archaeologists in 1938.

Geopolitics & Terrorism:

On Sunday night's show, guest host John B. Wells was joined by geopolitical analyst Craig B. Hulet, who discussed the recent developments in the Middle East, the War on Terror, bin Laden's role in 9-11, and what he sees for the future of the United States. "We do not have to look beyond our shores to see the face of the enemy," he declared, "and it is in corporate America." Hulet contended that the continual consolidation of corporations is "creating fewer and fewer of the most powerful." These power brokers, he said, have no national, religious, or ethnic loyalties and are, instead, driven purely by accumulation of wealth and influence.

Regarding the recent death of Osama bin Laden, Hulet observed that "there's never just one simple explanation" for why certain major events happen when they do. That said, he opined that the timing of bin Laden's demise seems to be connected to the ongoing uprising in Libya. To that end, Hulet noted that Moammar Gadhafi had been "one of our best sources" against Al Qaeda and that the Libyan dictator even claimed that bin Laden was behind the unrest in his country. However, the resources in Libya, notably oil, are of paramount interest to the corporate power brokers, so "that meant it was time for bin Laden to go," in order to clear the way for toppling Gadhafi. Similarly, Hulet asserted that the war in Afghanistan is predicated on building a massive oil pipeline and that the United States will "never leave" the country unless the installation is secure.

Looking ahead to the future, Hulet speculated that gas prices could rise to 5 or 6 dollars a gallon during the Summer. Beyond that, he warned that, within the next four or five years, "we're going to see suicide bombing on our soil, here in America." He lamented this prediction, but observed that he "can't help but follow my analysis." On an international level, Hulet declared that "in twenty years, China is going to dominate the globe." He explained that the "monopoly corporate structure" prefers the Chinese business model as opposed to the American free enterprise system. This, he said, is why so many jobs are shipped to China and will continue to be outsourced from America. Chillingly, Hulet said, that, on an individual level, he has no advice for resisting this trend and, "collectively, I just don't have much hope."

Fukushima & The Sun

In the first hour, scientist and filmmaker David Sereda talked about radiation from the Fukushima reactor meltdown as well as the 'mystery particle' that the Sun may be emitting. He noted that there was a "massive eruption on the Sun" in the days preceding the Japanese earthquake, which appears to suggest some kind of causal effect. He warned that the radiation levels reaching California are already problematic and that people should be turning to calcium, magnesium, and lithium in order to "raise the volts per cell" and protect their longterm health. Regarding the story of the 'mystery particle' being emitted from the Sun, Sereda made the case that it is actually some form of consciousness, since the effects of the 'particle' eerily match previous studies that were done on psychic abilities.

Renewable Energy:

On Saturday night's program, Ian Punnett was joined by Stanford University professor Mark Z. Jacobson for a discussion on the feasibility of powering the planet with renewable sources of energy generated from wind, water, sunlight, and even the Earth's own heat. In the first hour, security expert Fred Burton commented on Osama bin Laden's take down, threats against the nation's mass transit system, and other counter-terrorism issues... cont.

Today in Strangeness:

On this date in 1671, Thomas Blood nearly pulled off one of Britain's most famous crimes: stealing the crown jewels from the Tower of London. His elaborate plot was foiled at the last minute when the subdued guard's son made a surprise visit to his father. Shockingly, Blood was pardoned for his crimes by the King of England for reasons which are still debated to this day.

Tonight's Show, Monday, May 9th:

Guest Author Jim Marrs will discuss how events such as the ongoing deadly radiation from the Fukushima reactors and spraying of Corexit in the Gulf continue with little news coverage, as well as how despite the recent victories over terrorists, there's been no talk of doing away with the Patriot Act, the Real ID Act, or any of the other Constitution-shredding legislation.

Suppressed News:

On Monday's show, author Jim Marrs discussed various conspiracy theories, and how events such as the ongoing deadly radiation from the Fukushima reactors and spraying of Corexit in the Gulf continue with little news coverage. We live in a "fake world" now, he contended. with such issues surrounding Pres. Obama such as his birth certificate, the so-called killing of bin Laden, and the phony pictures of his dead body that appeared. The secret operatives that claimed to have killed Osama bin Laden dumped his body into the ocean saying it was custom in his homeland of Saudi Arabia, a predominately desert country, and without any objective forensics performed. If bin Laden was unarmed, why didn't they capture him to bring him to trial for his crimes?, asked Marrs.

According to many credible sources, bin Laden has been dead since December 2001, probably from his kidney problems. This wasn't reported back then because the government needed to keep him alive in order to justify such programs as the Patriot Act, and Homeland Security, he conjectured. The removal of bin Laden now was a tactic to take people's mind off Obama's issues about his birth certificate and citizenship, he continued.

Regarding suppression of news coverage of Japan's nuclear radiation which is still spewing from the damaged plants, he cited how "the nuclear industry doesn't want everyone to know how bad this is, because we would be doing like Germany is doing and shutting all nuclear plants down." Speaking about the UFO secrecy issue, Marrs said disclosure hasn't taken place because government & the military don't want to admit to the public that there's technology that they don't have, and that they don't have any control over this technology.

Survival Skills:

First hour guest, Founder of the Aboriginal Living Skills School, Cody Lundin, talked about the recent case of a woman surviving 49 days trapped in the wilderness. Her husband, who hasn't been found yet, probably was following GPS, instead of following where he was going, and that probably cost him his life, he suggested. Lundin shared survival skills, which include training on how to handle body temperature regulation. He noted that the highest cause of death in the wilderness stems from either hypothermia or hyperthermia

On this date in 1924, J. Edgar Hoover was appointed the director of the FBI. He would go on to hold the office for an astounding 48 years. May 10th is also the shared birthday of two infamous assassins: John Wilkes Booth, murderer of Abraham Lincoln, was born in 1838, while Mark David Chapman, killer of John Lennon, was born on the same date in 1955.

Psy-Ops in America:

Author of psycho-political thrillers, Dr. Steve Pieczenik was trained in psychiatry at Harvard University and international relations at M.I.T. Appearing during the middle two hours, he discussed how Psy-ops are being used against the American People on several fronts, along with various deceptions and false flags in foreign policy matters. The biggest national security problem we have in the US is the weak financial system, and ineffective intelligence, he commented.

"I have no idea," why Obama would do this, Pieczenik said of what he called a psychological operation (psy-op)-- the story of bin Laden being killed by US forces in Pakistan. Osama bin Laden was known to suffer from Marfarn syndrome (a genetic disorder that dramatically shortens lifespan), as well as receiving kidney dialysis treatments. The storyline that bin Laden was alive in 2001 and attacked our country is a falsity, born out of the need for the US to create a boogeyman, and justify wars, he continued.

The 9-11 attack was another false flag operation, and the US administration is considered weak and ineffectual by Europe, who note inconsistencies such as Obama getting the Nobel Peace Prize and then going to war in Afghanistan, he added. Pieczenik also talked about his ongoing collaboration with Tom Clancy for a series of novels.

Growing Up Capone:

First hour guest, Deirdre Marie Capone, the grand niece of Al Capone, described what it was like growing in the famous crime family. Raised in Chicago, she was ostracized by her classmates because of her name, and later moved to Minnesota where no one knew about her background as a Capone. After the death of all the members of her family involved in the Mob, she decided to come clean about who she was, with the publication of her book Uncle Al Capone. In the book, she defends his role as a successful businessman, and characterized him as a "mobster rather than a monster."

Blast from the Past:

For our two free audio clips this week, we go back 6 years to the second week of May 2005, when ESP researchers Sally Rhine Feather & Michael Schmicker disscused ESP cases, and Catholic journalist Charles A. Coulombe talked about exorcisms, confession & Ouija boards.

Today in Strangeness:

On this date in 1811, famous conjoined twins Chang and Eng Bunker were born. So unique and famous were the brothers that the term "Siamese Twins" is derived from their birthplace of Siam. Their remarkable lives would also inspire a short story by Mark Twain, a BBC radio play, a best-selling novel, and even a musical in Singapore.

Tonight's Show, Wednesday, May 11th:

In the first half, Dr. John Neustadt talks about his practice of alternative and nutritional medicine. Alternative Medicine:

Writer and medical advocate, Julia Schopick began studying alternative medical treatment after her husband developed a cancerous brain tumor. On Wednesday's show, she discussed several promising types of treatments that the medical profession has yet to accept for various life-threatening ailments such as MS, epilepsy, and terminal liver disease. The late Dr. Bernard Bihari originated the idea of low doses of Naltrexone and was able to boost immunity in AIDS patients through this treatment, she detailed, adding that it's also been used successfully against autoimmune diseases like MS.

The Ketogenic Diet, which was popular in the 1920s as a treatment for epileptic children, has seen a resurgence of late. But the high-fat, low carbohydrate, low-protein diet must be uniquely calibrated for each patient, she noted. For non-healing wounds, sometimes seen in cancer surgery patients, Schopik recommended the Silverlon dressing, which uses silver ions to stimulate healing.

She also cited intravenous alpha-lipoic acid as a regenerative treatment for liver poisoning or disease. Dr. Robin Falkov joined in the discussion during the last hour, and endorsed the usage of intravenous Vitamin C therapy for certain problems including inflammatory viral conditions.

Nutritional Medicine:

First hour guest, Dr. John Neustadt talked about his practice of alternative and nutritional medicine, and in particular his treatments for osteoporosis. MK-4, a specific from of Vitamin K, has been shown to decrease fractures by promoting bone collagen and flexibility, rather than just density, he reported.

May 13, 2011 www.coasttocoastam.com Coast Insider Audio

Doomsday Phobias:

In the first half of Thursday's show, psychiatrist Carole Lieberman talked about the fear of Friday the 13th, as well as Doomsday phobias. Clinically called Friggatriskaidekaphobia, at least 21 million Americans have fears around Friday the 13th. It stems from fears around the number 13, and Friday, which has been considered an unlucky day. Fridays have seen stock market crashes, and are considered bad days to begin projects or take journeys, she elaborated. Negative thoughts about Friday the 13th can gel in the unconscious mind and lead to self-fulfilling prophecies, or people become more aware of negative events that happen on such days, and this confirms their superstitions, she explained.

Doomsday phobia or fear of the end of the world is connected to one's fears around their mortality, said Dr. Lieberman. In discussing the May 21st Doomsday date popularized by Harold Camping, she noted that "because the world is so uncertain today more than ever...with so much unknown that seems to be threatening us...it's easier to get people to believe these kind of things." She also talked about her psychological studies of "bad girls," as well the meaning of dreams.

'Big Brother' Technology:

In the latter half, Mark Dice, a muckraker out to expose the abuses of the New World Order, discussed the various ways that 'Orwellian' technology is beginning to violate not only our privacy but our civil rights. We are in many ways living in the world depicted by George Orwell's book 1984-- "the power hungry officials, the perpetual state of war, [and] how the fear-based propaganda system works," he commented. Among the disturbing technology advancements, he cited facial recognition software used by companies like Facebook to identify people posted in photos on their site, as well as smart phone apps like ' Recognizr' that can identify a person's face by cell phone camera, and pull up personal information on them.

He also talked about the use of MRI of the brain to decipher what people are thinking, as well as mind control technology in which voices are beamed into a person's head to create illusions like God is talking to them. For the 2012 Olympics in London, a company called Sound Intelligence is lobbying for a contract to place microphones on the street that can record sound from 100 yards away, and supposedly detect "hostile speech," he added.

Today in Strangeness:

On this date, The Great Comet of 1861 was discovered by John Tebbutt of New South Wales, Australia. It was visible to the naked eye for approximately three months. On May 13, 1917, three shepherd children first reported seeing an apparition of the Virgin Mary in Fatima, Portugal. The date is celebrated as a holiday.

In the first half of the program, researcher Lloyd Pye provided an update on the Star Child skull, and its possible ET lineage. He revealed that the geneticist that has been working on the project recovered four critical fragments of mitochondrial DNA from the skull. Unlike previous DNA tests, which allowed for only a glimpse of 1% of the creature's genome, these new samples provide information on 10% of the Star Child's genetic makeup. Remarkably, Pye said, the genetic information is so different from a human's DNA that it now appears that the Star Child was totally alien and not an ET-human hybrid. Pye expressed tremendous confidence that "when we can recover the whole genome," this theory will be confirmed. For more, see Pye's DNA Analysis Report (PDF file).

According to Pye, these new findings help to solve a riddle that has plagued the Star Child skull for many years. He explained that it had become increasingly difficult to reconcile the theory that the creature was a hybrid because the skull "has not a single corollary to a human." In fact, Pye pointed out that the skull has "twenty-five major physical differences" from a normal human, including a lack of frontal sinuses, a larger brain capacity but smaller chewing muscles, and "durable fibers woven through the bone." In light of this new information on the Star Child's genome, Pye declared that "I don't think, anymore, that it was, in any way, shape, or form, a hybrid." Instead, he surmised that "we're looking at a pure alien being."

"Let's face it, this story is going to be as big as anything ever gets," marveled Pye, "it's going to move us to the next phase of reality as humans." He theorized that the Star Child story, should it be confirmed that the creature was an alien, allows for a "bridging mechanism" to the eventual disclosure of the ET reality. Pye said that, for ET believers, it will be seen as confirmation of what they've suspected all along. Meanwhile, for those who may be fearful of the concept of extraterrestrials, the Star Child would be a benign way of introducing them to the reality of aliens, since the creature was on Earth in the distant past and not looming here in the present. Ultimately, Pye mused that "it provides a stepping stone in the direction of coming to a better understanding and acceptance of our own place in the universe."

Open Lines:

The latter half of the show was devoted to Open Lines and featured a "Good Luck / Bad Luck" hot line for callers to share their tales of Friday the 13th joy or woe. A caller in Austin, Texas lamented that she had to cancel her 50th birthday party for next week because the tiles to finish her bathroom restoration did not arrive on Friday and, instead, got shipped to Mount Vernon, Illinois. Later, Phil, a military police officer in Newport, Rhode Island, shared the tale of how his Friday the 13th went from bad to good over the course of the day. At the start of the day, Phil said, his bank account had "absolutely no money in there." However, later on the 13th, he took his weapons qualification test and managed to beat the instructor's score. "So it was a pretty good Friday the 13th for me after I got bragging rights for a couple of hours," he laughed.

Weekend Edition May 16, 2011 www.coasttocoastam.com Coast Insider Audio

Survivalism:

In the first half of Sunday's show, George Knapp was joined by survival expert and health guru, Blake Sawyer, who argued that the United States will no longer be a viable place to live, and people should consider immigrating to locations in the less populated Southern Hemisphere. Whether through war, disease, famine, natural disasters, or ruthless government, he predicted that 95% of those who remain in the US will be dead in the next 5-15 years. America has been targeted by the "globalists" to be taken out, he added.

Sawyer noted that the United States ranks highest in violent crime, and that countries in the Southern Hemisphere are much more tranquil. In particular, he highlighted nations in the southern region of South America as being good choices for survivability, specifically Chile, Uruguay, Argentina, and Ecuador. "I...believe that the average American does not know that they're the frog in cold water, and they think they're OK, and they're now boiling," he declared.

Magic & Black Herman:

In the latter half, author and historian George Patton Jr. ( book link) talked about the life and times of Black Herman, a popular magician from the early 1900's who was one of the first to use mentalism and hypnosis as part of his stage act. Patton was inspired to write his book about Black Herman, when he learned that the magician was actually his great uncle, Benjamin Rucker. His unique shows, which traveled across the country, combined European magic with African hoodoo, folk religion, and gospel.

He invented a type of levitation trick (subsequently portrayed in the 1939 movie Charlie Chan at Treasure Island), as well as a buried alive trick, that involved hypnotizing his wife so that she wouldn't suffer ill effects from being buried in a coffin six feet under for six hours, Patton recounted. In the 1920s, Black Herman moved to a Harlem mansion, where he set up a séance room, and had a dark vision of a decaying New York City which he interpreted as the 'end of days,' when actually it may have been pointing toward the great crash of '29. Patton also works as an independent investment advisor, and makes blog postings at BostonWealth.net.

Psychic Detective Work:

Called the UK's #1 psychic detective, Robert Cracknell joined Ian Punnett on Saturday night to discuss how he has assisted police with his ability to see into the past and the future. "I do not consider that I am unique or that I have any special gift, whatsoever," Cracknell declared, "we all have this latent ability within us." As such, he implored other psychics to allow themselves to be studied by scientists so that further understanding of these mysterious abilities can be gleaned. To that end, he expressed dismay that there have not been "dramatic changes in the scientific attitude" towards psychic abilities after decades of evidence for their veracity. After spending his early years struggling with the implications of his psychic skills, Cracknell opined that "I don't consider it a curse or a blessing. I consider it to be fascinating... cont.

Paranormal Communications:

On Monday's show, father & son paranormal investigators Paul & Ben Eno discussed their new adventures exploring the multiverse which include communications with humanoids from parallel dimensions who have knowledge of major changes between 2012 and 2016. Paul outlined his theory that ghosts actually exist in a parallel world, going about their lives where it's still 1790 or whatever time frame they're in. For example, in a case they investigated in a Connecticut home in 2005, legs were seen dangling from the ceiling as though walking on a surface that wasn't in our world, he recounted.

In the Conn. case, they learned that the house was one point in a geographical triangle, with another nexus being an area known for military/UFO activity. Paul and Ben (who'd mentored with a Aztec shaman) investigated, and found a locked building, which Ben sensed contained a portal that the government knew about. Such portals might connect people to the other dimensions in the multiverse, and Ben is learning to move portals, Paul announced. He also compared the multiverse to a large apartment building, in which not all the dwellers were even aware there were other apartments.

Paul described parasites as beings of about 9 different species from parallel worlds, who feed off negative human energy. Regarding the period of 2012-2016, they learned from entities such as the "Clerics" (tall, gentle humanoids) that an "interdimensional war" will take place after the parasites' feeding discontinues. Paul also sees a "self inflicted disaster" on the planet before 2016, which he thinks is related to a nuclear attack. Another realm, he called the "good world," may serve as an escape option for us, he added.

Raw Milk Crackdown:

First hour guest, constitutional attorney Jonathan Emord talked about an Amish farmer being arrested for selling unpasteurized milk. The farmer was set up in a sting operation by the FDA, even though his raw milk has been tested as safe. Emord suggested that the FDA has become captive to big business, who seek to eliminate the option of unpasteurized milk for consumers.

Considered to be the first known scientific instrument, the device was dated to around 150 BC, and could plot the positions of celestial bodies 19 years into the future.

Tonight's Show, Tuesday, May 17th:

In the first half, attorney Andrew D. Basiago will discuss how a recent news story about DARPA relates to his truth campaign involving time travel technologies. Then, journalist, filmmaker and political activist Michael J. Murphy talks about new evidence for chemtrail spraying and geoengineering.

Time Travel:

In the first half of Tuesday's show, attorney Andrew D. Basiago shared an update on his truth campaign involving time travel technologies. In discussing a recent news story about DARPA's advancement in video surveillance that could end public anonymity, he declared that "DARPA had far surpassed the performance of this kind of technology 40 years ago when I was serving on Project Pegasus" (as a child). He believes we're being prepared for the eventual truth about chronovision (technology to view past or future events), as well as teleportation into different times. The chronovisor, he explained, "generates a hologram of a past or future event...by driving an electromagnetic signal through an octagonal, an eight-sided array of bismuth crystals."

Basiago admitted that he hasn't seen the technologies since 1972 (when he left the program), and they may have been shelved, but, he added we do have some clues that chronovision persisted and was implemented by the US intelligence community. For more, see recaps from his show appearances on 11/11/09, and 11/11/10. He'll also be doing a speaking engagement this weekend in Los Angeles.

Chemtrails & Geo-Engineering:

In the latter half, journalist, filmmaker and political activist Michael J. Murphy talked about new evidence for chemtrail spraying and geo-engineering. The very weird weather patterns we've recently been experiencing could be related to climate control, geo-engineering, and chemtrail spraying, he suggested. Weather modification is nothing new, and was used for military purposes by the US as far back as in Viet Nam, he noted. Project HAARP has the ability to heat up over 200 square miles of the sky with metal particulates, creating high & low pressure systems, and actually steering storms, he stated.

According to meteorologist Scott Stevens, heavy spraying is taking place about 1,000 miles ahead of storms, Murphy reported. Testing of rain has revealed high levels of aluminum oxide that has vastly increased over the last seven years, he continued, adding that such toxic aluminum exposure could be connected to the rise in Alzheimer's. Further, blood testing of some Arizona residents revealed toxic levels of barium and aluminum (said to be components of chemtrails). For more, visit The Coalition Against Geo-Engineering.

Comets & Electric Universe:

On Wednesday's show, comparative mythologist Dave Talbott and physicist Wallace Thornhill discussed the theory that Venus was a captured comet, as well as the electrical nature of the universe. Influenced by the work of Velikovsky, Thornhill posited that once Venus came through our solar system as a comet, the exchange of electrical charges modified gravitational forces between bodies in the solar system, allowing Venus to achieve a stable orbit fairly quickly. "Gravity is an electrical force between neutral atoms," he added.

Talbott has studied ancient accounts of catastrophe, and made connections to "plasma science." Venus was the great doomsday comet depicted in early cultures, "a frightful form in the sky" that was "Earth threatening" and discharging to a spectacular level, he detailed. Thornhill estimated this cataclysm took place 10,000- 12,000 years ago, at the end of the Ice Age.

The ancients witnessed massive thunderbolts (described as warrior gods' weapons), which Talbott explained were due to a closer planetary configuration with "plasma discharge formations...between these planets [which] gave the form to the cosmic thunderbolt." Mainstream science doesn't recognize such electrical theories of the universe, because it would shake up too much of their standard ideology, he continued. Talbott also spoke of the mythic age of Saturn-- the original sun god, which he believes at one time appeared immense in the sky.

Return to Gold Standard:

First hour guest, investigative reporter Greg Hunter offered commentary on a move to return to the gold standard to back the US dollar. Steve Forbes has come out in favor of this, he noted, as concerns about inflation and US debt grow. Further, we'll see the price of gold continue to rise, Hunter predicted.

Bible Prophecy:

In the latter half of Thursday's show, author, evangelical Christian, former businessman, and Air Force officer Chuck Missler reacted to the May 21st Doomsday & Rapture prediction, popularized by Christian radio host Harold Camping. Bible prophecy is a field of study that "suffers as much from its enthusiasts as it does from its detractors," he commented, adding that Jesus repeatedly emphasized that "no man knows the day or the hour." Further, he noted that there's a doctrine in the New Testament that states there's no preceding event prior to the Rapture, so its time couldn't be calculated in advance. Missler also talked about fallen angels, the demonic nature of UFOs, and the Antichrist.

Underground Bases:

Appearing during the second hour, researcher of underground & underwater bases, Richard Sauder, discussed who is operating these facilities and the concept of parallel civilizations. These bases are run with a combination of misdirection, illusion, and concealment by a variety of actors whom he referred to as "the organization." This stealthy group is extremely well-financed, and interfaces with a number of terrestrial human agencies, as well as some "off-planet" organizations, he declared. They likely have developed electro-gravitic and antigravity technology (such as seen in UFOs), which is being used behind our backs, he added. For more, see Sauder's blog.

Inside Area 51:

In the first hour, TD Barnes talked about his work on top secret projects at Area 51. The CIA controlled the Nevada base from 1955 to 1979, and it's currently run by the Air Force, he detailed. Sightings of UFOs may have actually been jets flown out of the base, including the U2 (painted black to reduce its visibility), and the A12, which flew at 90,000 ft., much higher than normal air traffic, he suggested. Doubting the accounts of Bob Lazar, he said there were no ET bodies or craft at Area 51, as far as he knew or saw. Barnes will be featured in the Nat. Geo. documentary Area 51 Declassified, airing this Sunday.

Today in Strangeness:

On May 20, 1916, the small town of Codell, Kansas was struck by a tornado. But what was truly incredible was Codell was hit by a tornado on the same date in 1917, and yet again in 1918. Further, all three storms came through around the same time-- in the early evening.

'Judgement Day' Rapture:

In the first half of the show, George spoke with several guests about the May 21st 'Judgment Day' rapture of believers predicted by Christian radio evangelist Harold Camping. Neil Saavedra, producer of The Jesus Christ Show, said the doomsday prophet's theology is bad, noting that Matthew 24:36 says no man will know the day or hour of the end of the world. Saavedra also mentioned some of Camping's other questionable teachings, including annihilationism, the created nature of Jesus, and the apostate condition of all churches (other than his own). Following, author L.A. Marzulli proclaimed, "I don't think anything will happen on May 21st -- guaranteed." Marzulli expressed his annoyance with Camping's end times sensationalism, which he thinks distracts people from seeing how the bizarre changes and events taking place on the planet actually relate to ancient biblical prophecies, and point to a supernatural force outside of our own space-time domain.

In the second hour, prophecy researcher Dr. Joye Pugh told George that she believes Camping has a true heart but has "jumped the gun" with his rapture prediction. Like Marzulli, Pugh thinks the hullabaloo surrounding Camping could hinder people from understanding events that may soon come to pass. She discussed the concept of rapture and how such a "catching away" of the saints will likely occur just before a period of silence, as foretold in Revelation. Pugh also stressed the importance of studying the Bible for oneself and expounded upon the aforementioned Matthew passage, which she explained is a reference to the Jewish holiday known as the Feast of Trumpets, or "The Day that No Man Knows." Next, storyteller and Anglican priest Lionel Fanthorpe commented on how 'End Times' forecasts often occur in history when people are suffering through hard times. According to this view, the doomsday predictions of the New Testament writers may actually be referring to the end of the Roman Empire and cruelty of Nero's rule, he said.

At the top of the third hour, C2C science advisor Richard C. Hoagland provided a brief update on the space shuttle Endeavour. Open Lines followed, with callers sounding off about the prophesied May 21st apocalypse. Yvonne in London, Ontario, humorously recalled having a 'last meal' of Chinese food and getting a fortune that read, "Tomorrow will be too late, so enjoy what you can today." Lincoln from Portland, Oregon, shared his research into the rapture, noting that the concept was invented in the late 19th century and is rejected by most mainstream Christian denominations. "The whole notion [that] people are going to vanish into thin air... is nowhere in the Bible," he said. Susan in Hayward, California, revealed that her former spouse is a follower of Harold Camping and part of his Project Caravan outreach. Susan disclosed that her children are with her ex-husband, as he has custody of them, and that she is worried about possibly never seeing them again.

Today in Strangeness:

On this day in 1956, the United States exploded the first airborne hydrogen bomb. It was dropped from a B-52 bomber over the tiny island of Namu in the Bikini Atoll in the Pacific Ocean. And on today's date in 1972, Michelangelo's statue Pieta in St. Peter's Basilica in Rome was vandalized by a mentally deranged Hungarian geologist named Laszlo Toth.

Video Fix:

PostSubject: Reincarnation   Coast To Coast Am Radio With George Noory - Page 5 Icon_minitimeMon May 23, 2011 10:51 pm

Weekend Edition May 23, 2011 www.coasttocoastam.com Coast Insider Audio

Reincarnation:

On Sunday night's program, George Knapp welcomed interdisciplinary cosmologist Paul Von Ward, who discussed reincarnation from a scientific mindset and how this process can help you get in touch with your previous lives. "When you're talking about reincarnation from a scientific point of view, you are isolated on both sides," reflected Von Ward. He explained that, on one hand, the scientific community has "nothing but disdain" for the topic, while the metaphysical community is "repulsed by the idea of science looking at these issues." However, Von Ward revealed that, when speaking in private, many members of the scientific community are interested in reincarnation, particularly "the most eminent of the scientists, the most intelligent and broad thinking of them."

In detailing some of the strongest cases for the phenomena, he provided an update on the story of artist Peter Teekamp, who many believe to be the reincarnation of painter Paul Gauguin. Von Ward, who labeled it a "B+ or an A- case," recalled how both men share a litany of specific physical features, personality traits, and artistic talents. One "idiosyncratic habit" that both artists had, unbeknownst to Teekamp, was that they each hid small portraits of themselves within their paintings. Von Ward also talked about cases of reincarnation involving Anne Frank, Claus Von Stauffenberg, and Marie Antoinette. Regarding the long-derided concept that only famous people are reincarnated, he observed that this is because those well documented historical figures provide the best information to use as validation when working with contemporary reincarnation cases.

Von Ward expressed optimism that "the potential is there" for reincarnation to ultimately be proven to the scientific and religious communities. Interestingly, he indicated that proving the phenomenon may actually happen by accurately predicting future incarnations rather than trying to verify proverbial 'past lives.' Should reincarnation be proven, Von Ward predicted that "we would have greater, increased respect for everybody else," because people would see each other as "evolving beings" who's present incarnation is merely one chain in a long line of lifetimes. He surmised that acceptance of reincarnation as fact would effect parenting, education, and knowledge of human development. "It would be a very significantly different world," he said, theorizing that this is why "authoritarian institutions" seem so strongly against accepting reincarnation as a reality, since it would threaten our current hierarchical society.

Paranormal Talk with Shirley MacLane:

In the first hour, author and actress Shirley MacLaine shared opinions on such topics as 2012, reincarnation, and fear-based religion. "Religion was the jailer of man's minds for many, many hundreds of years," she mused, "and now you could say that science is." MacLaine revealed that Stephen Hawking confided in her that the renowned scientist believes he is the reincarnation of Sir Isaac Newton. "He doesn't just think it, he believes it. He knows it," she declared. On the propensity for comedians to make light of her well-known esoteric beliefs, MacLaine quipped that "the only thing I've been insistent on, if people make jokes about me, is that the jokes be funny." Over the course of MacLaine's appearance, she also talked about her conversations with President Jimmy Carter and Dennis Kucinich about UFOs as well as her thoughts on a "new species" of humans emerging on the planet.

End of the World Special:

In the first hour of Saturday night's show, Ian Punnett welcomed skeptic Michael Shermer spoke about Harold Camping's failed May 21st Rapture prediction, and why people believe the things they do, especially as it relates to the apocalypse. Appearing in the first half of hour two, Judaica professor Ken Hanson discussed how President Obama's historical policy shift toward Israel, calling for the nation to base peace negotiations with the Palestinians on the 1967 borders, could trigger Armageddon in the Middle East. Next, intuitive psychiatrist Dr. Judith Orloff spent the next 90 minutes fielding calls, addressing why people believe in 'end times' prophecy, and how they can deal with the disappointment of Saturday's non-event apocalypse... cont.

Today in Strangeness:

On this day in 1955, American journalist Dorothy Kilgallen reported from London, claiming "the scientific and aeronautic authorities of Great Britain, after having examined the remains of a mysterious airship of conventional form - have come to the conclusion that these strange flying objects do not represent optical illusions, nor are they Soviet inventions, but that we have to deal with objects that really fly and that originate from some other planet."

Tonight's Show, Monday, May 23rd:

Children, Heaven, & Spirits:

On Monday's show, renowned medium James Van Praagh discussed his explorations into the lives of children in heaven; following the journey of a child’s soul to heaven, their time spent in heaven, and their connection to the living. While the death of a child is heartbreaking, on the level of soul growth it's very different-- "that soul might have only needed 10 years, 18 years...and then it's time to move on, to graduate if you will," he said, adding that "we're souls having a human experience--not the other way around." Further, he explained that we travel in "soul packs" that tend to reincarnate and evolve together.

After children pass on, they enter an "open arena," where a shower of light energy washes over them, detaching any unwanted vibrations just before they enter heaven, he detailed. There are many activities, and places of learning in heaven, where souls can perfect skills, and prepare for their next life, he continued. Van Praagh described the afterlife as a place with unlimited vistas, and residences of living which characterize who you are as a soul. And for those who don't need the physicality, there are higher levels of frequency and "cities of light."

A number of parents phoned-in to share accounts of losing a child. Feelings of grief and loss by parents may make it more difficult for deceased children to make contact. Van Praagh suggested that a parent say before going to sleep, 'if you're able to come through, I'd love to see you in a dream,' and then stop focusing on it. Their spirits will come through when you least expect it-- when you're not thinking about it, he noted.

Mars Update:

First half-hour guest, aerospace and defense systems developer Charles Shults shared an update on his research into the 'fossils' on Mars (related TV news report). The Curiosity rover, to be launched later this year to Mars, was to carry James Cameron's full color, stereo camera, but that plan was scrapped due to imaging problems, he reported.

Video Fix:

A video report from 9news.com profiles Judy Messoline who set up a UFO watchtower in Hooper, Colorado, which is located in the San Luis Valley, long considered a hotbed for UFO and paranormal activity.

Today in Strangeness:

It was on this day in 1543 that Polish astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus died. His heliocentric concept displaced Earth as the center of the universe, and served as the starting point for modern astronomy. Called a heretic by the Roman Catholic Church, Copernicus was buried in an unmarked grave. Nearly 500 years later on May 22, 2010, he was reburied at a cathedral by Polish priests who honored him as a hero.

Tonight's Show, Tuesday, May 24th:

Investigative journalist Richard Miniter has written the first detailed expose of Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, including his rise to the top of Al Qaeda and many untold details about 9/11, the beheading of Daniel Pearl, and plots to kill Bill Clinton and the Pope, among others. He'll discuss the capture and assassination of bin Laden and how it will change the climate of terrorism in the weeks and months to come.

Terrorism & 9-11:

On Tuesday's show, investigative journalist Richard Miniter, an internationally recognized expert on terrorism, shared his research into al Qaeda figures Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, and Osama bin Laden, as well as his analysis of the 9-11 attacks and their aftermath. Interestingly, he suggested that one of the main beneficiaries of the 9-11 attacks was Iran, with the US fighting their enemies in Afghanistan (the Taliban) and Iraq (Saddam Hussein).

Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, whose nickname inside al Qaeda was "KFC" (due to his penchant for eating buckets of Kentucky Fried Chicken), had become overweight and out-of-shape. To counteract this impression, he beheaded the kidnapped journalist Daniel Pearl on videotape to show that he was still tough and capable, Miniter recounted. Contrary to other reports, he found nothing to suggest that bin Laden had ever been a CIA operative in the Soviet/Afghanistan war in the 1980s. Killing him off wasn't strategically the best idea for America, he commented, noting that he might have spilled valuable intelligence during interrogation.

Regarding the planes involved in the 9-11 attacks, Miniter said he found no evidence that boxcutters were actually used by the terrorists as weapons-- their supposed usage became "speculation hardened into fact," possibly to make the FAA seem less culpable. But in fact, we know al Qaeda had singled out specific airports such as Dulles and Logan, because they had been ranked in the top five airports for worst security, he pointed out.

Cell Phone Hazards:

First hour guest, researcher William Thomas reported on a new study that confirms cell phone hazards. Scientists who conducted the study were surprised to find there were changes that occurred in brains exposed to cell phone radiation, which didn't involve heat. While some advise wearing a headset instead of talking directly into the cell phone, Thomas cautioned that a headset can act like an antenna and conduct even more radiation into the brain/ear.

Pic Fix:

The International Institute for Species Exploration has selected the Top 10 news species discovered in 2010. The gallery of curious life forms includes a hideous Louisiana Pancake Batfish, the frightening T. Rex Leech, and a jumping cockroach nicknamed the Leaproach.

Today in Strangeness:

On May 25, 1961, President John F. Kennedy made his famous declaration before a joint session of Congress that America aimed to put a man on the moon by the end of the decade. Erik Weihenmayer became the first blind person to reach the summit of Mount Everest on this day in 2001.

PostSubject: Area 51 Secrets   Coast To Coast Am Radio With George Noory - Page 5 Icon_minitimeMon May 30, 2011 12:41 pm

Weekend Edition May 30, 2011 www.coasttocoastam.com Coast Insider Audio

Area 51 Secrets:

Investigative reporter Annie Jacobsen ( book link) had exclusive access to nineteen men who served at the covert military installation, Area 51. She joined George Knapp in the first half of Sunday's program to discuss what she uncovered - from the testing of nuclear weapons to super secret spy planes. She learned that a recovered Soviet MiG was brought to Groom Lake, where the fighter jet was reverse engineered, and then tested in mock battles.

Jacobsen's most controversial reportage surrounds the testimony of an anonymous Area 51 source, who told her that the 1947 Roswell wreckage of a disc-shaped craft was brought to the base, and was of Soviet origin. Further, the craft contained child-sized aviators who'd been deformed in some manner to make them appear other-worldly, possibly through genetic experiments conducted by Mengele. The project was masterminded by Stalin, who was interested in spreading "black propaganda" and a kind of "War of the Worlds" hoax that the US might perceive as a warning shot across the bough, she explained.

UFO Investigations:

In the latter half, Richard Lang, Director of ARIRA (Aerospace Research Investigation Reporting Agency), talked about his investigation of UFOs. His new agency, ARIRA, is composed of a set number of investigators who privately investigate incidents of great interest. He detailed several fascinating UFO cases, including a 2009 North Carolina sighting of a large translucent black triangle. When the witness shined a bright spotlight on the craft, a bluish light came down on him, and he suffered sunburn-like burns where the light hit.

In an incident at the Houston International Airport, several pilots reported seeing a huge orange orb-type object that was approaching the airport while they were taxiing on the runway, Lang shared. An episode above the Louisville Airport runway, involving a rotating diamond & cylinder-shaped object, was hushed up, he added.

Battlefield America:

On Saturday's show with Ian Punnett, bestselling author Dale Brown discussed how his new thriller relates to the real possibility of a deadly battle against the government and detailed how he honed his unique style of speculative fiction. He said that the impetus for his latest book comes from both the economic crisis as well as news reports of militia groups that have been actively threatening state governors who have been investigating and prosecuting their organizations. "That just amazed me," he marveled, "but that's the nature of the condition that we're in, especially if the economy does a double-dip recession, which is what I describe in the book." Over the course of the evening, Brown also talked about issues such as unmanned military craft, the drawbacks of the draft, and his service in the Civil Air Patrol... cont.

Today in Strangeness:

On this day in 1432, Joan of Arc was burned at the stake. The nineteen year old, who claimed heavenly voices had urged her to lead France to victory over England, was condemned by the Church and executed for heresy.

Tonight's Show, Monday, May 30th:

In our 12th edition of the 'Secret Door,' George Noory welcomes three surprise guests who'll discuss a variety of topics. In the first hour, researcher Douglas Dietrich discusses the sacrifice of the U.S.S. Indianapolis, her Captain & crew.

Secret Door XII:

In our 12th edition of the 'Secret Door,' on Monday night, George Noory welcomed three surprise guests who discussed a variety of topics. First up, investigative mythologist William Henry talked about his new DVD project, The Anointed, which explores secrets of the anointing oil of the ancient sages. This oil reportedly could transform humans into super-beings, he noted, and the Archangel Michael was said to have rubbed it on Enoch who then exhibited glowing rays. Henry also touched on the discovery of hieroglyphic markings in the secret chamber of the Great Pyramid. He suggested that this small chamber may have been built for the passage of the soul, rather than the storing of bodies.

Second through the Secret Door, was RN Trisha Springstead who shared updates on Morgellons disease. She expressed dismay with a recent study by the Mayo Clinic which found that patients who complain of this ailment are delusional. Many patients do have parasites under their skin, and tests demonstrate an unknown taxonomy, she stated. Besides the itching, creepy-crawly sensations, and strange fibers coming out of the rashes, patients also suffer from "brain fog," Springstead continued. She reported on the work of Dr. Omar Amin who studied 50 patients and found a correlation between Morgellons and the mercury and plastic products used in dental work.

Last through the Door was author and paranormal investigator Jeff Belanger who discussed how ghosts and human beliefs can create reality. His latest book, What It's Like, geared for children, explores how some people, aided by strong belief systems, overcame incredible odds to survive and achieve. He also talked about the SPIRICOM, a device that reportedly captured the voice of a spirit.

Sinking of the Indianapolis:

In tandem with Memorial Day, first hour guest, researcher Douglas Dietrich discussed the sinking of the U.S.S. Indianapolis, which was torpedoed by a Japanese submarine in 1945. The Indianapolis had been transporting components for an atomic bomb, but didn't have the security of an escort. Many of the ship's 900 sailors stranded in the water after the attack weren't rescued, and a number died in a "shark frenzy," he detailed.

Talking to the Dead:

In George Noory & Rosemary Ellen Guiley's new book-- "Talking to the Dead," they journeyed into the supernatural world to see if spirits would really communicate with them...and what they found will shock you! The book is now available for pre-order on Amazon.

Video Fix:

Check out dramatic footage of waterspouts off the coast of Australia captured by helicopter. Some of these swirling columns of air may have reached heights up to 2,000 ft.!

Today in Strangeness:

On this date in 2005, a decades-old political mystery was solved when the family of Mark Felt, former FBI assistant director, revealed that he was the Watergate source " Deep Throat." Felt was one of the many people suspected to be "Deep Throat," but he steadfastly denied the allegation in ensuing years. Other suspects included Henry Kissinger, William Haig, and even Diane Sawyer. While famous Watergate reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein confirmed that Felt was, indeed, "Deep Throat," some historians insist that the character was really a composite of many sources that the investigators used to break the story.

Tonight's Show, Tuesday, March 31st:

Former chief editor at Hampton Roads Books, Frank De Marco will discuss tapping into the forces of the "Cosmic Internet," and how the information found there can be used to regain a sense of meaning and purpose in life.

Cosmic Internet:

On Tuesday's show, former chief editor at Hampton Roads Books, Frank De Marco discussed tapping into the forces of the "Cosmic Internet," and how the information found there can be used to regain a sense of meaning and focus in life. He referred to his communications with the Cosmic Internet or the Other Side, as being with deceased or non-physical beings whom he called "the guys' upstairs." Entering into a slightly altered state, he takes notes in journal form about his conversations with the Other Side. The information he receives requires discernment, as just because it comes from a disembodied source doesn't mean it's entirely accurate, he noted.

According to "the guys' upstairs" the Earth is a "special place where you can create your own mind or soul...You are here to choose, and choose, and choose, and in so doing you create the mind that will then go over to the Other Side...when we die." So in a sense our whole lives are preparation for the existence we're going to lead afterward, he explained.

He shared several techniques for living more connected with the Cosmic Internet. These included practicing love everyday, especially for less loveable objects; changing one's point of view to understand where others are coming from (helps to lessen the identity of the self as being different from others); and reprogramming thoughts that may have become engrained from childhood but no longer serve a useful purpose.

Extreme Weather:

First hour guest, author Whitley Strieber talked about what's behind the recent extreme weather patterns. An imbalance of cold air from the Northwest and warm air coming up from the Gulf of Mexico has led to a powerfully explosive situation, he commented, adding that such a scenario could play out again in September/October. He also spoke about his encounter with an unknown visitor who imparted intriguing lessons that became the basis for The Key, now in reprint.

Blast from the Past:

For our two free audio clips this week, we go back 5 years to the first week of June 2006, when Dan Aykroyd talked about his long-standing interest in UFOs, and Dr. Steven Greer told of his personal encounter with ET life forms.

Today in Strangeness:

Welcome to the month named after the Roman goddess, Juno. On this day in 1831, British explorer James Clark Ross discovered the North Magnetic Pole. However, this location gradually moves over time, and it's currently drifting away from North America towards Siberia. On June 1, 1843, it snowed in Buffalo, Rochester, and Cleveland.

Tonight's Show, Wednesday, June 1st:

Professor Peter Ward will discuss his latest work on mass extinctions and the self destructive nature of our planet. He'll also talk about aliens and artificial aliens, as well as why we might all, in fact, be Martians - based on new work on the origin of life.

Investigating the Paranormal:

On Tuesday's show, reporter Steve Volk discussed how he came to reconcile an old family ghost story and the whole realm of the paranormal with the rigors of professional journalism. While growing up his family was besieged by unexplained pounding noises in their home, and in one incident the sound moved to the top of the stairs and then came down one step at a time, "like a child throwing a tantrum," he detailed. These occurrences inspired his recent wide ranging exploration of the paranormal.

He interviewed the late Elisabeth Kubler-Ross' research partner Reverend Mwalimu Imara who revealed that there was a lost chapter to her hallmark book, On Death and Dying, which contained information about NDEs and death bed visitations. In fact, Kubler-Ross had uncovered first hand accounts of near-death phenomena a number of years before Raymond Moody popularized it, he shared. Volk investigated ufology, and made a trip to Stephenville, Texas to interview witnesses to the 2008 incident there. Radar information corroborated their accounts, and curiously as the media arrived to cover the event, the military made a simultaneous presence, he reported.

Volk also studied spiritual and mental practices. The Tibetans, he noted, believed that if you don't become conscious in your dreams (lucid dreaming), you will not be conscious in death. Meditation has been shown to have beneficial health consequences, such as reduction in stress and boosting the immune system. Through meditation, he learned to let fear-based thoughts (coming from a primitive part of the brain) just pass. "Spirituality and science can in fact serve each other-- they do not have to be considered opposing world views," he concluded.

E. Coli Breakout:

First hour guest, author Steve Quayle shared his reactions to the recent E. coli breakout in Europe. "This is a specific biowarfare agent that has been designed to do...one thing well, and that's kill people," he declared. The breakout could perhaps be traced to a laboratory dealing with antibiotic resistance, and may be related to a push against natural foods, he suggested.

Blast from the Past:

For our two free audio clips this week, we go back 6 years to this week in June 2005, when inventor John Hutchison talked about his recreation of the Ark of the Covenant along with flying entities, and dowser Raymon Grace presented an on-air experiment in energizing water.

Today in Strangeness:

On this day in 1949, George Orwell's prescient classic 1984 was published. On June 8, 1937 the world's largest and smelliest flower, the 8 1/2 tall ' corpse flower' (Titan arum) bloomed at the Botanic Garden in New York. The flower's putrid odor is meant to attract pollinators such as carrion beetles and flesh flies found on the plant's native island, Sumatra.

Tonight's Show, Wednesday, June 8th:

Author and astronomer David Darling will talk about a variety of strange ways the Earth and its inhabitants could meet with a sudden and unexpected end, from exploding stars to fractures in spacetime. First hour guest, Philip Margo, a founding member of The Tokens, discusses his career.
